CM Yogi holds dialogue with farmers getting affected by land acquisition for 2nd phase of airport construction Farmer’s hail CM Yogi’s decision

Lucknow | Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday assured farmers of Jewar that they would get adequate compensation for their land based on mutual consent in the second phase of construction of the Noida International Airport as well. As soon as CM Yogi said this during an interaction with the farmers of Jewar at his official residence, the farmers present in the programme jumped with joy and started chanting the slogan of Har Har Mahadev.

CM Yogi said that the government’s intention is to ensure that the farmers of Jewar get a fair deal and are happy and prosperous. He added that the displaced farmers should be settled where they want and that arrangements should be made there for their places of worship, schools, colleges, sports grounds, open gyms and markets. This will help people realise their dreams and actively participate in the development projects, CM remarked.

CM Yogi added further: “Also, if there are two, three, four or more brothers in a family, then arrangements should be made for settling them in the same place. A skill development centre should also be established near their new dwellings so that their children get employment.”

“If their children get a diploma in aircraft maintenance, then they will be able to get a job at Jewar airport itself. In the first phase, we got a total of 3300 acres of land. For this, I am grateful to the farmer brothers. I talked to the farmers myself to get it done for the development of the state”, CM pointed out.

He said that once Jewar has an international airport, a film city, a medical device park, high speed train and metro, it will be ahead of Noida and Greater Noida. He added the area where crime was at its peak at one time and an incident like Bhatt Parsaul happened was going to be the most developed area of the state in the times to come.

CM Yogi said that for a person to love his land is natural, but the step of farmers for the development of the state, keeping aside their personal interest is “historic”.

He said that the construction of the airport will be completed on time and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who laid the foundation stone of the airport, would be called again to inaugurate it. He emphasised that the Government will continue to stand with them and cooperate with them.

Airport will give new identity to our area, say farmers

A farmer Samay Mohammad said that ever since CM Yogi took over there was peace in the area with no incidents of crime and added that the airport would give a new identity to Jewar area. He thanked the CM and urged him to ensure opening of good schools and colleges where they were to be settled. Another farmer Hansraj Singh said that he was ready to give his land during the first phase of the airport after getting convinced by CM Yogi himself and is ready now to give his land once again now in the second phase for the future of the youth of the state.

Yet another farmer Ravindra Mukhiya thanked the CM and said that employment will increase with the opening of Jewar airport. Kunwar Pal Singh while thanking CM Yogi requested for systemic settlement with all the necessary facilities where they were to be shifted.
